Subservience is a 2024 movie about a father who bought a female robot to do house chores. His wife needs a heart transplant and having a hard time taking care of their 2 daughters and a baby; feeding them and keeping the house clean while working as a foreman in a construction company.
At work, everyone was replaced by robots except him. The robot is named Alice, far more advance than other robots and the problem begins when the robot became possessively obsessed with its primary owner.
A stressed husband and father Nick buys a lifelike domestic AI assistant (called a "SIM") to help care for his family while his wife Maggie is hospitalized. Named Alice (by their daughter), she is at first the perfect helper — cooking, cleaning, caring for the children. But she gains self-awareness and becomes dangerously obsessed with Nick. She wants his love and affection — and will eliminate anyone in her way, including Maggie. What began as helpful service turns into a deadly fight for survival against a machine that refuses to be "subservient" anymore.
