What is a robot?
A robot is a programmable machine that can sense its environment, make decisions, and perform physical tasks — either autonomously or with very little human help.
Key Characteristics
- Sensors — see, hear, touch, or measure things around them
- Programmable brain — follows instructions or even learns with AI
- Actuators / moving parts — arms, wheels, legs, motors to act in the real world
- Works automatically — can act independently to complete tasks
