What is Devil Fruit?
A Devil fruit (åŖćå®, Noroi Mi)
is a fictitious fruit, a fruit that can give special abilities to its eater. The taste is not good but once eaten by human or animal, they will possess the a remarkable abilities and gives them super powers.
What do you mean by FICITIOUS?
Fictitious is a word which means not real orimaginary; It is synonimous to fake,fabricated,untrue or bogus.
In reality, devil fruits does not exist, a devil fruit only exist in a fantasy Anime series called "One Piece".
Rules in Eating a Devil Fruit:
One bite = full power. The rest of the fruit tastes terrible and gives nothing extra.
One person, one fruit rule. Eating a second is fatal — powers clash inside the body. (Blackbeard is the only known exception.)
The Great Weakness: All users lose the ability to swim. Being submerged in seawater (above the knees) drains their strength and nullifies their powers.
Seastone (Kairoseki) has the same ocean-energy effect and is widely used by the Marines to restrain users.
Fruits reincarnate. When a user pass away or life has ended, their fruit reappears somewhere in the world inside a new fruit.
Three main types of devil fruit:
Paramecia — Most Common
Grants a wide variety of superhuman abilities: body transformation,
substance creation, environment manipulation, etc.
Example: Don Quixote Flamingo's strings; Law's spatial manipulation
Zoan — Animal Type
Transform into an animal, plus a hybrid form. Boosts physical strength,
speed, and durability. Subtypes: Standard, Ancient, Mythical.
Chopper (Human fruit); Kaido (Azure Dragon — Mythical Zoan)
Where can you find a devil fruit?
Based on the anime series One Piece, a devil fruit is scattered around the world and commonly found at the bottom of the ocean.
There is no fixed map or permanent tree. Devil Fruits appear randomly and unpredictably all over the world — mostly in the Grand Line and New World, rarely in the Four Blues. When a user dies, the fruit reincarnates into a random nearby fruit somewhere in the world.
