Kaya may pagdiriwang ng Sta. Elena sa banal na Krus. May 3 300+ AD. this year 1,700 years of celebration ni Sta.
The Flores de Mayo, or "Flowers of May," is a traditional Filipino festival that honors the Virgin Mary and symbolizes a culture’s devotion to her through floral offerings during the month of May. Its origins can be traced back to various influences, primarily Spanish colonial practices introduced in the Philippines during the 16th century.
The festival venerates the Virgin Mary in various forms and commemorates her role in the salvation history within the Christian faith. By presenting flowers to Mary, devotees express their affection and seek her intercession. In this context, it reflects the themes of beauty, purity, and maternal love, paralleling the qualities ascribed to Mary in scripture and Church teachings.
