God Made the World

(Gen. 1:1-31; 2:1-3)
There was a time when God alone existed. At that time, there was no heaven, no earth, no water, no animals, no people. But there was God, for God had no beginning, and He will have no end. He always was and always will be.

Then God, by His almighty power, made everything:  heaven, earth, arid all things in Heaven and on earth. He made all things out of nothing.

1st Day

First of all  God made the earth, which we call the world. In the beginning everything was empty mid without form, and darkness was spread over the deep.  And the spirit of God moved over the face of (In- waters. And God said: "Let there be light" - and l lie light was made. And God saw the light, that it was good; and He divided the right from the darkness. And God called the light, Day; and the darkness He called Night. This was all done on the first day.

2nd Day
On the following day, God said: "Let there be the sky made to divide the waters above and below." And the blue sky was made and God called it Heaven.

3rd Day
On the third day, God said "Let the waters that are under heaven be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so done. And God called the dry land, Earth; and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. Then God said: "Let the earth bring forth vegetation: every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree on earth that bears fruit with its seed in it." And it was so done; and God saw that it was good.

4th Day
On the fourth day, God created the sun, the moon, and the stars. He said: "Let these heavenly lights separate day from night; let them mark the days, the seaons and the years." And thus it was done. And God saw that it was good.

5th Day
Now the earth was lovely and green, but there was no living thing upon it. God made all those creatures that live and move in the water, and all those that fly over the earth. And God was pleased and blessed them. He told them to fill the waters of the sea and to multiply upon the earth. He saw that what He had done was good. This was all done on the fifth day.

6th Day

After that, God made the cattle and the creeping things and the beasts. Then God said: "Let us make man In our image. We shall make him rule over all the things we have created." And God made man out of the dust of the earth. Then God breathed into him a soul that will never die.

God gave man power over every creature on earth and blessed him forever. This was all done on the sixth day.

7th Day

On the seventh day God rested from His work. And He blessed the seventh day and sanctified it.
