What is the purpose of a belly button?
A belly button has no biological purspose when we grow up; once we are out of the mother's womb then we have no use of the belly button anymore.
What is a belly button?
It is simply the place where the mother's umbilical cord was once attached. While the baby/ fetus is still inside the mother's womb the umbilical cord are connected to the fetus to it's mother's placenta. The placenta delivers oxygen, nutrients, and antibodies to the fetus; and it also removes waste products and toxins.

Sa paglaki ng sanggol sa sinapupunanng kanyang ina, sya ay nadudulutan ng pagkain naadaan sa isang kord mula sa sinapupunan patungo sa may titan ng sanggol. Kapag ang sanggol ay ipinanganak na, ang lord na Ito ay hindi na kailangan Kaya Ito ay pinuputol. Ang pinagpuputulang nito ay lumiliit hanggang sa malaglag at maging pusod sa paglaki Ng bata.
