*December 25, 1897-Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo and Pedro Paterno and others went to Lingayen Pangasinan to aboard a Spanish steamship onwards to Hong Kong for exile in conformance to Biak na Bato truce of surrendering to Spanish authority the Philippine revolution after the agreed indemnification and damage pay of Spanish authority to the Philippines.
*December 25, 1901-Date set by US Gen. Franklin Bell as deadline for residents of Lipa Batangas and nearby towns to live inside concentration camps for quelling of Filipino guerillas and for the capture of Filipino Gen. Miguel Malvar during Philippine-American War.
*December 25, 1918-Typhoon Quantico hit the Philippines with very unusual track never recorded before in the history of world meteorology typhoon tracking and never duplicated until now.

Ferdinand Marcos decreed to have all Filipino workers must receive 13th month pay when he signed the law on December 16, 1975 by virtue of Presidential decree number 851 obliging all employers to pay 13th month compensation to their employees not later than December 24 of every year.
