Maximino V. Pangilinan Elementary School located at SantolTanza, Cavite started its operation in 1932 with only two classrooms occupied by 25 pupils. It was then headed by Mr. Mariano Figueroa, the first teacher of the said school. As years went by, the school had its formal classes from Grades I to IV and named as Santol Primary School.
From 1964, the school became a complete elementary school and changed its name to Santol Elementary School. Miss Miranda became the first head teacher of the school and served for almost 6 years, but due to illness she had to retire. From then on, various school heads come and go to serve and develop the school for the betterment of the entire school community.
Mrs. Julia Pasion took over the place of Miss Miranda from 1970-1972; followed by Mrs. Lutgarda P. Morabe from 1972-1974; Mrs. Soledad Joya managed the school for four long years from 1974-1978; while Miss Felicitas Alarca supervised it from 1978-1982.

For almost a decade, Miss Flordeliza Roa ran the school from 1982-1991. Mrs. Jasmin Santos monitored the school for two years; 1991-1993, followed by Mrs. Claudia Asal in 1993-2000.
At the beginning of the new century, Mrs. Gloria Toledo extended her services for the progress of the school for two years from 2000-2002. In 2002, Mrs. Vicenta M. Columna dedicated herself and supervised the school from 2002 until her retirement in November 2007. From January 14, 2007 up to June 2011 the school was headed by Dr. Ofelia B. Arvisu. Year 2012, Mrs. Noema V. Quintino  managed the school  with 19 teachers; two of them were pre-school teachers and another one was under the Local School Board who served 991 school children.

The school was indeed very fortunate because  the Tanza Association of Los Angeles, California Chapter (TALAC) donated a two-classroom building for the benefit of the numerous pupils studying in the school. With this, the school became a more conducive place for learning.
In addition to that, MVPES was graced with a four-storey two classroom building through the effort of the former principal, Dr. Gloria R. Casiano. This is one of the projects of Congressman Luis  “JonJon” Ferrer.

The school lot was donated by the generous family of the late Maximino V. Pangilinan and recently renamed after the donor’s name through the effort of the new principal, Mrs. Adonna A. Ravago,  who is now supervising  1,519 pupils, 31 Teachers and 1 Administrative Aide.
